About

The purpose of this organization is to stimulate interest in quilts, to promote and advance the art of quilt making, conduct educational programs and service in all aspects of quilt making, and to preserve out quilting heritage and traditions.

The Guild provides for the community by making and donating quilts where needed.

Meets the second Tuesday of each month starting at 7pm at St Matthew Methodist Church, 300 N. Air Depot Blvd., Midwest City, Oklahoma. Please come a little early to sign in, visit with the presenter of that nights program, visit tables with various projects we are working on, or look for something to buy from our fundraiser table.

Each month, we begin with a short business meeting; have announcements of interest, such as future programs, workshops, projects, etc. and we have a chance to "Show n Tell" about projects or quilts that individuals have made. Then we take a short break for refreshments that are brought each month by various guild members. Some months we will have a presenter; other times we may have various programs, such as our annual Frugal Quilter's Market and then there is a the Ice Cream Social in June, elections in July and the Christmas party in December.

The Guild holds several Quilt Camps each year. These camps are scheduled for all day on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Lunch is potluck and prepared by attending participants. Join us to work on your projects, learn new techniques, and socialize.

We provide quilts to various charities and organizations around the Mid-Del community. Those quilts are made by a group of guild members that meet on the 1st Tuesday and second Thursday of each month from 10am to 3pm. Potluck lunch is provided by attending participants.

The guild will welcome you as a guest two times. Then we think you will be hooked so you are invited to join us as a Guild member. Visit with the membership chairperson or treasurer to obtain a membership form. The yearly dues are $20.00 for our fiscal year beginning July 1st. If you join after July, the rates are prorated.

As a guild member, you will be on our email list for a monthly newsletter helping you keep updated on guild activities along with other update, area events, and project information.
